Frequently Asked Questions

- Check your valve and make sure it is open.
- Check your email, our Facebook page, or our website to verify there isn’t an emergency outage on your line.
- Call the office and we will get a field crew member sent out when possible to help get your water back on.
TDID aims to start water each year around the 15th of March and keep serving water until October 15th. There is always the chance of weather or maintenance items that may delay the start date or extend the season further into the fall.
All of the TDID agricultural sites have a register next to the turnout that has information on how much flow (gallons per minute) you can take. It also shows your total water used for the year (acre feet). Everyone is assessed for 2 acre feet each year. If you go over 2 acre feet you start to pay excess charges until you hit 3 acre feet. At that point we have to close that delivery for the rest of the year. TDID will also send usage statements in June, August, and October so you can track your usage.
Call 811 whenever you are planning to dig on your property. There are utilities in the ground that can be very dangerous if you were to find them unexpectedly. All utility companies will have 48 hours to come mark their underground utilities and then you can confidently dig and know you’re going to be digging in a safe place.
TDID has a person on call at all times. Please call 541-340-9913 for after-hour emergencies. For non-emergencies you can leave a message at the office and we will get back to you the next business day.
